Zoho PDF Editor is now available as a free desktop application for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
All work is done locally on your computer—no account, file uploads, or internet connection required.
The application allows you to e.g.:
➡️ edit text and add images and shapes,
➡️ add comments, notes, links, and highlights,
➡️ reorder, rotate, delete, duplicate, and extract pages,
➡️ import pages from other PDF files,
➡️ password-protect documents and add watermarks,
➡️ compress and flatten PDF files,
➡️ export comments to TXT, HTML, or Markdown.
An interesting feature for more technical users is command-line support. Built-in CLI commands allow you to e.g.. merge, split, rotate, compress, secure, and watermark PDFs, making these operations useful for scripts and automation.
The application is currently completely free. Zoho has also announced upcoming features, e.g.. support for form fields, conversion to fillable forms, and digital signatures.
